Fittings are the cheapest parts on the van and the ones most likely to stop it. A quick connect that will not seat, a thread that is close but not right, or a fitting that restricts flow will cost more time than anything else in the toolbox.

This range covers the connection side of a machine: quick connects, flo-thru fittings, elbows, nipples, bushings, barbs and strainer bodies, in brass and stainless.

Sizes run 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch in male, female and flow-through configurations, including premium and Safe Connect quick connects, flo-thru brass in M/F and F/F, 45° and 90° street elbows, brass nipples, modified orifice housing bushings, 1.5 inch thread to 2 inch barbs, brass strainer bodies and adapters, and strainer check valves for 1/4 inch VeeJets.

How to choose

Flow-through and standard quick connects are not the same fitting. A flo-thru allows solution to pass when disconnected on one side; a standard connect shuts off. Fitting the wrong one is a common cause of "no flow" after a repair.

Check the thread form, not just the size. A 1/4 inch NPT and a 1/4 inch BSP will start and then bind. Where a product page states the thread form, order to that rather than to the nominal size.

Brass or stainless is chosen by chemistry. Brass suits general use. If you run acidic rinses or oxidisers routinely, stainless lasts considerably longer and does not discolour the solution line.

Undersized fittings throttle a good pump. Dropping to a smaller internal diameter anywhere in the line costs pressure at the jets. Keep the bore consistent from pump to wand.
